SPS is classified as non-flammable, hence flame proof equipment is not required. The solution is highly effective at ambient temperatures thus keeping running costs to a minimum. SPS is non foaming and surfactant free which means that there is minimal re-deposition of solder particles onto stencils and screens. SPS maintains a high load of excess paste in suspension to enable a good level of filtration. This results in clean stencils and screens without excess deposits of solder particles on the base of the cleaning equipment, reducing down time and cost.
A short cleaning cycle of three minutes for light deposits and five minutes for heavy, aged deposits makes this material suitable for a high speed production environment.
Heating is not normally required, although the SPS may be heated to 35-40oC with the appropriate equipment. No extraction is required under normal conditions.
